Kindergarten Preparation

How does ECEAP prepare children for kindergarten? We use a standardized program that provides developmentally appropriate curriculum, instruction and activities to promote growth in all areas. We assess each child throughout the year

We use two checkpoints during the year for the following developmental areas: social and emotional, physical development, cognitive and language. With this information, teachers and parents can set goals for skills that a child has not mastered.

We utilize information to make adjustment to goals

The results from the screening tools, teacher observations, work done in small group settings and information from parents are used on an on-going basis to continually assess the development of a child in all areas.  Two parent-teacher conferences are held to review progress and to set additional goals for children.
