Welcome to a New Year at ESD Early Learning Center!
Welcome to a New School Year!
Dear ESD Early Learning Center Families,
We are so excited to welcome you and your child to the ESD Early Learning Center community. Whether this is your first experience with preschool or you’re returning for another great year, we are thrilled to have you with us.
Our first day of preschool is Thursday, September 11th, and we can’t wait to see all the bright smiles as we begin this exciting journey together!
Here are a few important details to help you prepare:
AM Session: 8:15 AM – 11:15 AM (Breakfast will be served)
PM Session: 12:15 PM – 3:15 PM (Lunch will be served)
You will receive a welcome letter from your child’s teacher by September 5th. In that communication, you will be asked to sign up for a before-school family conference. These conferences are a great opportunity for us to get to know your family, learn about your child’s interests and needs, and set the stage for a successful year.
We are honored to be part of your child’s early learning experience and are looking forward to a year filled with discovery, growth, and joy.
If you have any questions before then, please feel free to reach out to our office.
With excitement for the year ahead,
Juli Hamilton
Principal, ESD Early Learning Center
The Ellensburg School District is proud to offer high-quality early learning opportunities that nurture the growth and development of every child. Our programs emphasize inclusion, equity, and readiness for kindergarten and beyond.
Inclusive Preschool
Our inclusive preschool program welcomes children with and without disabilities to learn and grow together in the same classroom environment. Teachers and specialists collaborate to provide individualized supports, ensuring that all children participate in daily routines, build friendships, and develop the foundational skills needed for lifelong learning.
Transitional Kindergarten
Transitional Kindergarten (TK) is a full-day program designed for children who turn 4 years old by August 31 and may not otherwise have access to a high-quality preschool option. TK provides an important bridge between preschool and kindergarten, with a strong focus on social, emotional, and academic readiness. The program follows the ESD school calendar (September–June) and helps prepare students to thrive when they enter kindergarten.
