Deadline Nears for LEA Grants
Dear Ellensburg School District Staff, Representatives, and Students,
The Ellensburg Educational Foundation is excited to announce that applications are now open for the Learning Enhancement Award!
Our mission is to support purchases, activities, and innovative projects that enrich the student learning experience and supplement district or building educational goals—especially where district funding may fall short.
Who Can Apply?
We invite applications from:
- Ellensburg School District employees
- District representatives
- Students
What We Fund
We encourage creative, high-impact proposals that directly benefit students. Past funded projects include:
- Innovative Enrichment Projects: Creative learning initiatives and hands-on activities.
- Classroom Supplies & Equipment: Essential tools and technology that cannot be fully funded by the district.
- Literacy Materials: Books, reading programs, and library resources.
- Arts & Music: Instruments, art supplies, and specialized performance equipment.
- Field Trips: Transportation and bus fees to expand learning beyond the classroom.
Tip for Applicants: We strongly encourage applications that feature cost-sharing or co-funding partnerships with the applicant, school parent groups (e.g., PTO/PTA), or other third-party funding entities.
Ineligible Expenses
To ensure our funds directly impact student learning tools and experiences, the following expenses are not eligible for funding:
- Professional development
- Salaries and benefits
- Student rewards or incentives
